We’re not public or private—we’re Sumter’s first nonprofit microschool! 🌟 Small-group learning, tutoring, and enrichment designed to be affordable, flexible, and family-centered. Every dollar goes back into serving students and families.

Business Meeting

MicroCommunity

What it is

• A Family Learning Hub with resources for literacy, math, health, & life skills.
• Partnerships with nonprofits, businesses, & civic leaders.
• Volunteer & mentorship opportunities: retirees, youth leaders, interns, & parents.
• Free family events: book giveaways, literacy fairs, & workshops.

What it is not

• Just a drop-in center—we focus on sustained family learning.
• Isolated—community means collaboration, not going it alone.
• A staff-only effort—community thrives when everyone participates.
• A fundraising gimmick—our events are to serve families, not profit.

MicroSchool

What it is

• Modern one-room schoolhouse model-small, flexible & community-driven.
• Small groups with personalized, evidence-based instruction.
• Themed “Worlds of Learning” (Space, Volcanoes, Pirates, Money) that connect reading, writing, math, science, & real-world skills.
• Meets South Carolina education standards in creative, memorable ways.

What it is not

• A traditional public school with 20–30 students per class.
• A private school campus with hundreds of students and high tuition.
• A daycare—our focus is on academics, not just supervision.
• Unstructured homeschooling—we provide trained educators, accountability, and curriculum.

Cost

$60–$95 per 3-week session
(Scholarships, sibling, & military discounts available)

MicroEnrichment

What it is

• Focused tutoring: one-on-one & small groups in reading, writing, math & homework help.
• Special interest classes: storytelling, art, STEM, financial literacy, & more.
• Flexible scheduling: after-school to fit family life.
• Supports all ages: children, teens, & adults.

What it is not

• A replacement for school—enrichment is extra support, not a full-time program.
• Just babysitting—sessions are purposeful & skill-building.
• A rigid, one-size schedule.
• Limited to one grade level.

Cost

$10–$18 per session
(flexible scheduling)
